A 1959 Electrolux vacuum cleaner, still in its original box and still going strong!
Mr Ian Ferguson and his wife Maggie from Wheathampstead, contacted AEG to reveal they had an original LUX 1 Electrolux vacuum, bought in Ghana in 1959 by Mr Ferguson’s parents. The vacuum was shipped and stored in the Harrods repository until the couple moved back to the UK in 1960. The vacuum, which is still in working order, has been kept in the family since then.
